- Helen Shoemaker Scribner, 69, of Wilmette, died April 28 in Vero Beach, Florida. Mrs. Scribner was the wife of the late Gilbert H. Scribner Jr. Mrs. Scribner is survived by two daughters, Helen S. Euston of Miami, Florida; and Nancy S. Clarke of Norwell, Massachusetts; one son, William VanDyke Scribner, of Lake Lotawana, Missouri; five grandsons; and her brother, Warren W. Shoemaker Jr., of Englewood, Florida.
