- Helen M. Herbon Brady, a lifelong resident of Wilmette, died Dec. 13 in Wilmette. She was 93. Mrs. Brady was born in Wilmette, the daughter of Herman and Hanna Herbon, whose families had immigrated from Trier, Germany. She is the last remaining of eight siblings. Her husband, the late James J. Brady, was a member of the Wilmette Fire Department for 27 years. Her son, former Wilmette Fire Chief Robert H. Brady, served for 33 years on the force. In addition to her son Robert and his wife Mary, Mrs. Brady is survived by a daughter, Jean D. Caselli of Park City; four granddaughters, Patricia Remkosiewicz of Des Plaines, Sherry (Ron) Kretsch of Gurnee, Janet (Larry) Gersch of Gurnee and Ellyn (John) Warner of Algonquin; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
