- Lillian McCombs Butler, 94, of 500 Lake Av. Wilmette, died September 19 [1980] at Lake Bluff Health Care Centre. Born in Chicago, she was a resident of the village for more than 20 years. She was the widow of the late Orrie McCombs and the late Louis E. Butler. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Clifton of Wilmette; a step son, John L. Butler of Eldora, Iowa; two grandchildren, Charles E. Clifton III and Lynn C. Martin, and four great grandchildren. Private burial was in Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois.
