- Ione Judson Dawes, 89, died April 27 at the Evanston Hospital. Mrs. Dawes was born in Muskegon, Michigan. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Ellis Sears and Sharon Ellis Miller; six grandchildren, George C. Bates, John R. Rystedt, Nancy L. Rystedt, Susan M. Howard, Anne J. Benavides and Emily J. Miller; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Martin Ellis and General Charles C. Dawes; her twin sister, Gertrude Lufkin; and a brother, Arthur Judson.
