- Mrs. Elsie Alferes Cyrus, 85, died Nov. 2 at Evanston Hospital. She was a native of Pittsburg [sic]. Survivors include two sons, George J. (Carol) Jr. of Evanston and Leander of Portland, Maine; her daughter, Barbara (Daniel) Martin of Scarsdale, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Alex and Christopher Martin, and Io and Rachel Cyrus; and her brother, Theodore Alferes. Interment was private at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
