- Jean S. Davis, 86, a longtime resident of Winnetka, died Feb. 11 in San Francisco. She was born in downstate Vandalia to Virginia and Charles Schulte. Survivors include her daughters, Linda K. (Robert Richter) Davis and Nancy L. (partner Donna Hitchens) Davis; brothers, Tom (Diane) Schulte of Cape Cod, Fla., and William Schulte of Hot Springs, Ark.; sister-in-law Miriam (the late Newell) Davis of West Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Susan O'Gara of Northbrook. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Davis; and her daughter, Karen Davis Emmis.
