- Andrew Geavaras, of Wilmette rejoined his wife, Sophie, whom he had not seen for seven years, and son, Tommy, 6 years old, whom he had never seen. Mr. Gavaras, who lives at the Central Hotel in Wilmette, was caught during a visit to Greece when the war broke out and escaped to this country when threatened with the Greek draft, although he was an American citizen. He was unable to bring his wife with him and subsequent wartime conditions prevented her from arriving in this country until last September.
