Robert King Brown, church leader here, summoned by death

Robert King Brown, for nearly forty years a resident of the north shore and for eighteen years a resident of Wilmette passed away at his home, 1125 Forest avenue, Monday, January 10. Funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock Thursday, the Rev. George P. Magill of the Wilmette Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was made at the Rosehill cemetery.
Mr. Brown had been identified with the Marshall Field company in the furnishing contracting department for nearly forty years. He had also been a member of the Wilmette Presbyterian church for eighteen years, having acted in the capacity of an elder and having been one of the charter members of the church.
At the services, Thursday, other officials, with whom he has worked in the interest of the church for so many years, acted as pallbearers. A large representation of friends and business associates and representatives of the Marshall Field organization were present.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, two sons, Herbert of Minneapolis, and Francis M. Brown of Wilmette, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Goddard of Kinsley, Kansas.- Featured Link
