A host of Wilmette friends are mourning the passing on Friday morning, October 26, of Emma Myrtle Edwards Ambrose, wife of Rev. David E. Ambrose of 1617 Emerson street, Evanston. The Ambrose family resided in Wilmette for several years, leaving to make their home in Evanston about two years ago. They were faithful members of the Wilmette Presbyterian church.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 29, from the Emerson street Presbyterian church, Evanston. Rev. George P. Magill, of Wilmette, and Rev. Henry Hepburn, of Chicago, officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park.

Mrs. Ambrose in her life was a remarkable example of the ideal mother. She reared a family of eight children and devoted herself constantly to their welfare.

She is survived, besides her husband, by three sons, Ralph H. Ambrose, of Evanston; Capt. Forrest E. Ambrose, of Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Don E. Ambrose, of Chicago; and four daughters, Mrs. Vida E. Austin, of Hutchinson, Kas.; Mrs. Illa McHugh, of Blue Rapids, Kas.; Miss E. La Verne Ambrose, of Evanston, and Mrs. Gladys Watkins, of Tulsa, Okla.
