- Donald Miller, seven year old son of John J. Miller, 1730 Washington Avenue, was injured fatally late Wednesday afternoon, October 9, when he was struck by an automobile driven by Lawrence McHale, 16, of 1749 Highland avenue, Wilmette. Another near tragedy of a similar nature occurred Saturday,October 12 when Ralph White, six year old son of George E. White, 811 Fifteenth street, Wilmette, was struck and injured by a car driven by Mike Rees of Evanston.
