Funeral services for James Earnest Whitfield, 3 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Whitfield, 919 Forest avenue, were held from the Lewis Funeral chapel at 1124 Central avenue Thursday afternoon, September 22, with burial at Memorial Park. The child passed away at the Evanston hospital on the preceding Wednesday after a brief illness occasioned by an attack of influenza-meningitis. He is survived by his parents, a brother, Francis, and a sister, Ann.
