- Mrs. Hilda Nyman Swanson, 1135 Elmwood avenue, Wilmette, wife of the late John F. Swanson, who died 56 years ago, passed away at St. Francis hospital, Evanston. Born in Karlshamn, Sweden, in 1848, she was in her 97th year. Mrs. Swanson is survived by a son, John H. Swanson; three daughters, Mrs. Howard F. Olson, Mrs. J. Fred Lynn, and Mrs. John P. Collier, 1135 Elmwood avenue; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Burial in Graceland cemetery.
