- New Trier freshman, Magda Wikar leaaped 17 feet, 3 inches in the long jump and established a school record last Saturday in the Palatine Invitational. She broke the old record of 16-11 held by Alexis Scheu. Katherine Dykstra claimed victories in discus and shot put. Stephanie Voorhees, Jenny Peterson, Wikar and Mary Nardini also scored wins in the 800 relay and 800 medly relay. The boys track team finished third Saturday at the Hersey Invitational. Mentioned were David Fessler, Julian Niedbala, Mark Vernon, Tad Stacey, Carl Kriss, Joe Schlitter, Chaz Gillespie, Charlie Hershow, Brendan Smith, Billy O'Hara, Matt Davidman, Tony Konstant, Jason Brown and Matt Chandler.
