Notes: John W. Steffen, 90, a resident of Wilmette, died July 17.

Mr. Steffen was born July 22, 1913 in Chicago, the youngest of eight children.
He married Louise Busscher of Winnetka in 1950 and settled in Evanston. They moved to Wilmette in 1954.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Steffen; two sons, Bill (Gayle) Steffen and David (Patti) Steffen; one daughter, Ann Steffen Martin; and seven grandchildren, Julie, Marie, Michelle, Emily, Andrew, Benjamin and Madeline.

Mass will be held, Saturday, July 24 at St. Joseph Church, Lake Avenue and Ridge Road in Wilmette.

Interment with full military honors will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Techny.
