- In February, a group calling itself the New Trier Neighbors formed in opposition to a state law calling for Illinois municipalities with less than 10 percent affordable housing to approve a plan addressing the shortage. Comments by the groups president, Rob Faurot, and vice president, Anne Leary, both of Wilmette. The law is supported by the Interfaith Housing Center of the Northern Suburbs.
