- Ellen Selfridge McKeown, 76, formerly of Winnetka, died Aug. 4 at Santa Monica Hospital in Santa Monica, Calif. Mrs. McKeown was born in Winnetka in 1927, the daughter of Calvin and Violet Selfridge. She married John "Jack" McKeown, a friend from Winnetka. in June 1955 at Winnetka Congregational Church. Survivors include two sons, Todd C. McKeown of Malibu, Calif. and Scott "Lad" McKeown of Moorpark, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
