- Ted Welch sorts garbage collected Sunday at Gillson Beach in Wilmette. The cleanup was part of a multistate effort to remore debris from Winthrop Harbor to Calumet. The Adopt-a-Beach program is coordinated by the Lake Michigan Federation.
