- Donna Burton closed Saville Flowers on Christmas Eve after 18 years in business. She will work with her sister, Gail Jones, in the family's Evanston store. Burton and Jones are the third generation to run the two stores, started in 1937 by Don and Helen Saville. Another sister, Kathleen, will also work at the Evanston shop. Wilmette attorney Jeffrey Strange recently bought the building at 371 Ridge Road and said another florist is interested in renting a part of the shop.
