- George F. Scherzer, 61, of 2017 Highland Avenue, Wilmette, died on Christmas Day in St. Francis Hospital. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri. Surviving are his widow, Margaret H.; his parents, William F. and Georgiana Scherzer of Kansas City, Kansas; two sons, C. Ted of Lake Zurich and George F. Jr. of the home; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Dyche of Kansas City, Kansas; five brothers, Charles, Harry, Louis D., William F. Jr., and Richard, all of Kansas City; and two grandchildren. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery.
