- Mary Patricia (née French) Byrnes, 88, of Evanston, died Jan. 30 at the Mather Gardens in Evanston.
Born Sept. 16, 1916.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. "Jack" Byrnes.
Survivors include daughters Mary Beth (John) Gilbert of Oak Park; Diana (Bill) Rasmussen of Omaha, Neb., and Tricia (Joe) Durkin of Western Springs; sons John Jr. (Karen) of Northfield, Mike (Kay) of Weston, Conn., Don of Chicago, Larry (Barb) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Terry (Jackie) of Mound, Minn.; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Eileen Gay and Margaret (Paul) Healy; and brother John French.
Interment in Lake View Cemetery in Bellaire, Mich.
