- Cellist Gabriel Cabezas, 12, a 7th-grader at Wilmette Jr. High School, premiered composer Conrad Tao's "Sonata for Cello and Piano" in New York City April 2. Tao, age 10, is considered a music prodigy and wrote the four-movement piece for Cabezas in 2004. Cabezas and Tao performed with pianist Sean Yeh, 13, an 8th grader from Highland MIddle School in LIbertyville, the "Trio in C Major for Piano, VIolin and Cello" also composed by Tao.
