- Wilmettte Village trustees voted 5-1 on Jan. 14 to approve a development at 3520 Lake Ave. that would include a drive-through Starbucks, a Quiznos and a third commercial space on the first floor of a building that had housed medical offices. Trustee Jim Griffith voted against the plan. A key concern was how the addition of drive-through traffic would affect an already busy neighborhood.
The board voted unanimously to approve a Starbucks planned for 739 Green Bay Road. The project will involve demolition of a defunct auto service building, and addition onto Imperial Motors. - Date of Publication
