- Democratic Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois spoke May 5 at the Hilton Chicago during the 15th annual venefit for Facing History and Ourselves. The event raised $1 million for the organization which engages students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice and anti-Semitism to promote a more humane and informed citizenry.
