- George Francis Schopen, 68, died Sept. 24 in Melbourn, Fla. He was born in Wilmette. He is survived by his wife, Regina, and four sisters, Louise Hlavacek and Helen Scheuber, both of Glenview, Kate Steffens of Evanston and Marge Thornhill of Carpentersville.
