- Robert M. Sydell, 91, died Dec. 22, 2006. Mr. Sydell was born Nov. 3, 1915 in Chicago. Survivors include two sons, Jack (Marge) of Monroe, N.C. and Gil (Ann) of Hendersonville, N.C.; a daughter, Judith (Grant) Pierce of Kildeer; seven grandchildren, Robert (Marguerite) Sydell of Peoria, Ariz., Michael (Karri) Sydell of Chandler, Ariz., Matthew (Rebecca) Pierce of Barrington, Blake (Jenelle) Pierce of Barrington, Amy (Davidson) Morse of Arlington, Texas, Jarrett (Beth) Sydell of White Plaines, N.Y., and Kathryn Sydell of Arlington, Va.; and nine great-grandchildren, Adriana, Gabriella, Jacob and Benjamin Sydell, Kyle and Connor Pierce, and Aidan, Brendan and Virginia Morse. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; and two sisters, Audrey Sydell and Lois Harris.
