- Leonard J. Hoffman died Nov. 28 in his Northfield home. He was 66. Mr. Hoffman was president, owner and operator of Lenny Hoffman Excavating, Inc., 3636 Lake Av., Wilmette since 1940. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; three daughters, Judith Hoffman, Carol Dodson and Betty Herr; three sons, Eugene, Leonard and Lawrence; and two sisters, Marrian Barrick and Irene Schell.
