- Robert John Steffens of Skokie died June 8 at Evanston Hospital. Mr. Steffens, 66, was born in Wilmette. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, a daughter, Pamela Baird of Glenview; three sons, Thomas J. of Northfield, Robert Jr. of Omaha, Neb. and Ronald of Skokie; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Barry Pearson of Wilmette; and two brothers, Clarence J. of California and Raymond J. of Northbrook.
