- Ionia Anderson, a resident of Evanston died Dec. 27 in Evanston. She was 87.
She was born May 4, 1919, in Warrenton, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. J.L. Henry; her second husband, Joe S. Anderson; one grandchild; two sisters, Lois Cowins and Lollie M. Lee; and five brothers, Olester, Leonard, Norman, Herman and Roy Ruff.
Survivors include daughters Dorothy Thompson and Josephine (Thomas) Vinson; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Iowa Sorter, Gladys Lee and Ruby Ruff; brother James (Evelyn) Ruff; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
