- John Sandstrom, a lifelong resident of Evanston, died Feb. 1 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. He was 87.
Born July 29, 1919.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bernice; daughters Suzanne (Henry) Foley and Nancy (Jonathan) Sims; sons Kenneth (Kathleen) and Scott (Jody); and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 5 at Donnellan Family Funeral Home in Evanston.
