- John Meigs Butler Jr., 91, died on December 24th in Evanston, IL where he was a resident at the Presbyterian Home. The son of John Meigs Butler and Margaret Converse Butler, John (Jack) was born on February 11, 1919, in Evanston. On August 16, 1947, he married Mary Jane (Mickey) Williams at The Presbyterian Church in Wilmette, IL. Jack was the husband of Mary Jane Butler; father of Peter (Jessica) of Winnetka, James (Kristin) of Janesville, WI, and Daniel (Carol) Butler of Jacksonville, FL, Mary (Timothy) Burke of Essex, NY, Anne (Peter) McNerney of Winnetka, Margaret (Thomas) Cucciniello of Ramsey, NJ and the late John M. (Patricia) Butler, III of Austin, TX; brother of Betty Sawyer of Bedford, MA and the late William C. (Terry) and Morton Butler; grandfather of twenty one and great grandfather of seven. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 784 Sheridan Rd., Winnetka, IL 60093.
