Mrs. Bertha E. Cawthorne, 82, widow of the late Rev. Harry L. Cawthorne, senior priest retired of the Episcopal diocese of Chicago, who died one year ago, died November 3 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hale Hackley, 532 Kenilworth Avenue. Kenilworth Services were held November 6 at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth, followed by private interment. Mrs. Cawthorne, who was a native of Saint John, N.B., Canada, had lived in Kenilworth only a short time, having come to the village two months ago when the Hackleys moved to Kenilworth from Yonkers, N.Y. Besides Mrs. Hackley, she is survived by two other daughters. Mrs. Constance Stoli of Oshkosh, Wis., and Miss Sylvia Cawthorne of Chicago, two sons, Cole of Seattle, Wash., and Cecil, who lives near Alpine, Calif., six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
