Empfield, Dorothy (née Cushman) (Died)

Mrs. Dorothy Cushman Empfield, wife of D. Porter Empfield, of Evanston, formerly of Wilmette, died November 2 at the Evanston Hospital. Memorial services were held November 6 at Scott's Wilmette chapel, followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. The Empfields formerly lived at 915 Greenleaf Avenue, Wilmette, and had resided here 18 years until moving to Evanston abut six years ago. Mrs. Empfield was interested in community groups and was an active member of the Woman's Club of Wilmette. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cassie E. Orr of Crete, Illinois, and Ms. Patricia E. Deuster of Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi C. Little of San Francisco, California, and Mrs. Lou C. Wolfinger of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a brother, M. Andrew Cushman of Charlottesville, Va.
