- The executive committee's meeting of the Evanston Progressive Club was held at the Avenue House and was attended by 35 members. They discussed the future of the Progressive Party in national and local affairs. The committee passed a resolution saying that the organization opposes partisan politics in municipal affairs. The committee also resolved that candidates in the upcoming election explicitly state their platforms. Another item on the club's agenda, was to plan a banquet. David McCurrach, Jr., was made chairman, and David Jamieson and James P. Grier, were made members of the banquet planning committee. William C. Levere, secretary of the club, spoke in depth about the resolutions.
