On Sunday night, Joseph Dukowicski, 1 month old, whose parents, Stanislus and Mary Dukowicski live at 1415 Ashland avenue, was smothered to death. The child woke up during the night, and cried, so that its mother heard the noise, and thinking that the child was cold, put him in bed with his parents. In the morning when the mother awoke she found the child dead. The coroner's physician issued a burial certificate for the child, stating that it came to its death either by convulsions or by smothering.
