- Short editorial comment on the interest other Lake Shore communities show in this paper. Chicago's Mayor Harrison urging city workers to vote Democratic is the way of the lord. Fourteen of Chicago's largest businesses are commended for making their workplaces safer and healthier. Editor concerned that city of Evanston withdrew money earmarked for the medical inspection of the public schools. Also the editor sides with President Taft on calling the U. S. a Christian nation as opposed to the complaint put forth by the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Guild that such a description is against the Constitution. It seems the British think the "American girl" has a tendency to overdue athletics and thus sacrifice some of her gracefulness and charm. The last editorial addresses a prayer put forth to the Indiana senate, prayer or political speech?
