- Margaret F. "Maggie" Meier, age 90, native of Brooklyn, passed away February 29, 2012. She was the wife of the late Francis M. Eckert and Raymond Meir. The youngest child of Margareta and Emile Furchner, she had three older brothers and two older sisters. She is survived by her nieces Barbara R. Jensen of Scituate, MA and Connie Kangas of Sarasota, FL; other extended family; and friends, including Margaret and Glynn Hoover and George Haas.
