- Mrs. Marion T. Culver faces a charge of assault on a neighbor following a quarrel in Glencoe. A fight began after a chicken belonging to the Culvers strayed into the Schultz's yard. Culver felt Schultz was not gentle with the chicken and she and Schultz began to throw bricks and other missles at each other. Schultz was wounded. Henry J. F. Schultz obtained a warrant for the arrest of Culver on an assault and battery charge before Police Magistrate Carlton Prouty of Winnetka. Police Magistrate Robinson of Glencoe took the case to Winnetka because in his judgment, justice would be better served there.
