- Mary Louise Hales, 103 of Winnetka, born in Chicago, died August 4, 2012. Survived by son, John (Suzanne) Hales; grandchildren, Ken (Patricia), Blair (Mary), and Kristin Jacob; Catherine (Matt Pearlman) and Erik (Gina) Hales, and many great-grandchildren; Aunt of Burton (Barbara) Hales, Jr.; Dan (the late Deborah) Hales, Diana Stone, Barry (Patsy Jo) Kent, Louise (Ed) Kohlar. Preceded in death by husband of 62 years, William Hales; daughter, Lynn (Robert) Jacob; sister, Olive (William) Kent and parents, George Simpson Cortis and Lucretia Hughes Cortis.
