' The Golden Text was from Psalms 33 :20, "Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our shield." Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible:· "Then said Jesus unto his di sciples, If anv man will come after me, let him deny -himself, and take up hi s cross. and follow me. A.. fire in the shop of Papageorge Bros., tailors, 344 Linden avenue, did dan1age to the extent of $200 to the store interior Saturday afternoon. The dinner was served indoors. Dancing followed. There were about seventy-five present. Sunday buffet dinners, beginning at one o'clock are still being served at the club, and the management is desirous that more members and their families take advantage of this service. Rudolf Schulz. Jr., a student at Carthage college, who is studying for · the ministry, \Yill conduct the services at the \Vilmette English Lutheran church, Sunday morning, August 22, at 11 o'clock. ReY. \Villiam Guise, pastor of the church, is enjoying a I ,·acation. M. Okean, Evanston tailor, opened an exclusive fur shop in Winnetka this week at 567 Lincoln avenue. The store Is located in a new business block and Mr. Okean has built into it a modern fire, moth and burglarproof vault for the storage of furs. He has the only store of its kind in Winnetka. Besides making fur garments to order, and remodeling, cleaning and repairing, Mr. Okean carries at this store a selected stock of ready-to-wear furs. He also carries a large stock of skins for use in making cuffs and collars. A branch of Mr. Okean's ladies tailoring business is conducted at the Winnetka shop.
