She appeared opposite Jacob Ben Ami, in the Jeaaie Royce Landis second act of "Samson and' De lilah" at the Palace theater. After thi s she played in Detroit, Mich., in Adolph Klauber's "Wings of Chance," in which play Jessie Bon stelle saw her, ancl when Miss Bonstcllc decided to produce "Little vVomen" she engaged Mi ss Landis for the part of ] o, in whi ch this young actress scored so heavily that she was listed to play leading part s only with the Bonstelle Stock compan y during all of last summer, after having secured her release from A. H. Wood s with whom she had signed a contract previously. .
