J uJy 22, 1927 offer because the Vattman club was the better team, but these Laure) boys are no slouches. There will be a return engagement this week and when Laurel gets its ·full strength in the field it wiU be a different story we hope. The girls' kick ball team did a little but different thing for a change. They came out on top of the Beach team by a score of 28-19. Elsa vonReinsherg handled herself in man like fashion to pilot the Laurel team to victory. This team looks like a sure winner in the mythical playground league. The park was well represented in the VilJage-Wide Jump Rope contest. Elsa vonReinsperg won first place for Laurel. The other Laurel entries were Greta vonReinsperg and Alice Freeman. Our posters were sei1t to the Junior Village Wide Poster contest. They were n~ade by Bud Jones and Julianne J one!?. Ruth Nordberg, Elsa and Greta \'On Reinsperg and Bob Faye had posters entered in the senior contest. r11 all this has been a verv favorable week for Laurel. 1\ext we~k we hopt' that the boys can come through with a ba se ball victory and even things up with the girls.
