"No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Anlong the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible : "Love · not the world, neither the things that are in the world. The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy : "The enslavement of man is not legitimate. There are two features of this occasion which .are expected to turn out an unusually large attendance of citizen soldier3. Capt. Walter M. Tenn·y of the Regular Army, who is an authority on field artillery tactics, is to give a lecture on the recent improvements made in the Artillery branch of the service and ex'plain the improved methods which have been developed since the World War. The other important aspect of the meeting is the fact that every reserve officer attending is to be given a certain number of hours credit on the time he must devote to military matters under the provisions of hr.i · commission. Recent War Department regulations require that reserve officers must put in specified hours of time in active duty training. Many business and professional men find it almost impossible to take time from their bu3inesses to go to summer training camps. Consequently, the opportunity to · obtain credit for training by attendance at lectures is of great importance to those who appreciate the responsibility imposed by commissions in the Officers Reserve corps. It has been stated that the meeting. tonight will be 'preceded bv a dinner at Hew's Grill, 616 Church street, Evan.~ ton, and that reservations may be made by telephoning W. ]. ·P atterson, University 1852.
