At 7 o'clock the troop had the roll call at Scoutmas ter Palmer's house. We had drill . work for about twenty-five minute s and then marched over to Seventeenth st'reet and Isabella in the woods. Each patrol made thei11 fire and fried hamburgers. Ed Kunz, .Jr., a~sistant scoutmaster, bt~ought candy bars and handed them out as the troop was dismissed. We all went home happy and had plenty to eat. 8D DEFEATS ST. JOS.t.:l' 11 The 8D boys played a hard-fought baseball game with St. Joseph Tuesday and 8D proved to be the best t~am , winning 9-8. Hu&P ~~xon pitched for SD and did a good job of it beside ~ getting two hits himself. 8D had only eight players while St. .T oseph had ten.
