The combined Glee clubs of New Trier High school under the direction of Mrs. Marian Cotton, musical director of the school, will participate in the program Friday afternoon while the Boys' club will take a major part in the evening's entertainment. The festival is being held for the purpose of fostering closer relations between the schools and to promot~ an even keener interest in musical work. The schools participating are Lyons Township High school, Deerfield Shields High school, J. Sterling 1forton High school, Oak Park-Rive rside High school an.d New Trier High school. E.ERSON REITERATES PRE-PRIMARY PLEDGES Replies to Wilmette Advisory Committee as Foe of CrimePolitics Alliance Because of the failure of the Republican State convention to consider Senator Charles S. Deneen's proposed plank against the ~lliance between politics and crime, the Wilmette Voters' Advisory committee has sought an expression of the head of the Republican ticket, Louis L. Emmerson, on th~ subject. Mr. Emmerson, in reply to a ·letter addre ssed to him a few weeks ago by the Advisory committee, repre se nting \Vilmette churches and ~,:ivi: organization s, has come out un equivocably against any alliance between politics and crime.
