LIFE I North Shore Women Charte'P Members for New . Golf Club Many north shore women are interested in the fact that Chicago is to have a new golf club. Among the charter members for this venture are: Mrs. Charles Klotz, Indian Hill; Mrs. Grant Ridgway, Kenilworth; Mrs . · Hathaway Watson, Winnetka, and Miss Earnestine Pearce of Hubbard Woods, who is acting secretary of the club which is to be called the Dundee Country club. This is not merely another golf club but a unique one. It is to be a true country club for women in the beautiful Ba!rington district and will be, in character, similar to one in the east and one in England. Men will not be entirely barred but they are not to he · members. Husbands are to have playing privileges for a certain yearly fee. The · members hip will he kept small and exclusive. There will be a sporty golf course through hills and woods. tennis courts, Art League to Resqme Watson Lecture Course The ' newly elected board 'of the North Shore Art league held a meeting on Thursday, May 17, at the home of Mr.. and Mrs. Albert Ullrich of Witmette. General plans for next winter's work were discussed and in view of the success of the series of lectures given la st fall by Dudley Crafts Watson under the sponsorship . of the league and because of many requests for a repetition of them it \\'as voted to haYe another such series this fall. The first lecture will he given by Mr. Watson on Monday, October 8. The subjects for the lectures will be decided at the next meeting by the members of the board which will he held on May 31, in the Campfire room at Community House.
