At the opening of the ceremony the members of the club arose and each said, "Tonight, I hold in my hand a large candle, a symbol of our love, ideals, and faith. C., the identification of the wearer, and the date 1929, and contains the following emblems: th e Nike of Samothracc, a sy mbol of victory; "the flaming torch of wisdom; lighting the way of all who follow; the \Vinged \Vand of the llerald ushering in the new era of opportunity; the Ship of Commerce carrying the message into all lands; and the Open Scroll of Learning creating ideals and faith." Kenilworth Midget Grid Squad Wins Shore Honors Kenilworth's midget football team clinched the championship of the North Shore Grammar School league last Thursday, when the midgets played their last game of the season with the Haven school of Evanston at \Vashington park in Wilmette. The game resulted in a scoreless tie. Ketlilworth's midgl't team was undefeated thi s year. The Kenilworth lightweight team engaged the Ilaven lightweights on the same day at \Vashington park, and this game was also a scoreless tie. The Kenilworth lightweights tied with the Nichols school of Evanston for the north shore championship this season, each team having lost but one game. Miss Marion Baldwin and Miss Jan<: \Villard both of Wilmette, returned to \Vilmette to spend Thanksgiving with their parents. Both the girls are students at Albion college in Mich. They will return to school on Sunday.
