This story is the announcement that the Werst e d Motors company of Lincoln avenue, Winnetka is now handling the Marmon cars and also the new Roosevelt, which is Marmon-made and the latest achievement of the manufacturers. The Wersted company · formerly handled Dodge. In the Lincoln avenue salesrooms may now be seen the latest and most attractive Marmon models and also will be shown the Roosevelt straight eight which is the first straight eight to be sold under $1000 at the factory. The price is $995. The Roosevelt is the culmination of a development predicted by automobile authorities for years and now achieved for the first time by Marmon as a result of its rapid and advanced progress in the eight cylinder field, according to W. T. Wersted. First Roosevelt shipments from the factory were composed chiefly of fivepassenger sedan models, although the complete line includes, in addition to t.he sedan, a coi:1.psible coupe with rumble seat, standard coupe with rumble seat and four-passenger Victoria coupe. The Marmon company, it is reported~ has been steadily. increasing its production since the first of this month due to the heavy demand for the new Roosevelt and models 68 and 78 cars. During the past few days shipments were made at the average rate of 200 .cars a day, and a daily production schedule of 250 cars will start at once.
