Balaban, 162 Euclid avenue, Glencoe, entertained at an unusual and attractive family party at her home last Saturday afternoon, May 4. She had as her guests about forty members of her Cousin's club, which includes all the relatives on her mother's side. Each member of the club entertains the family once a year, while the local members meet at their respective homes once a month. After luncheon was served at noon, the children had a :Maypole dance in the yard of the Balaban home, and were later shown motion pictures of former parties that Mrs. Balaban had held for the club. This was the eleventh annual affair. Among .t he guests were Mrs. Milton Plopke, formerly of Glencoe; Dr. and Mrs. ]. Friduss and their daughter of Hammond, Ind.; Mrs. Balaban's mother, Mrs. Louis Freeman, and the former's si!>ter, Mrs. Oscar Jacobs; Mrs. Herbert Arthur Parkyn of Highland Park and her mother of Des Moines, and Mrs. Balaban's sister-inlaw, Mrs. Sam Meyers of \Vilmette, and her children. --------------- LECTURE AT EXPOSITION Mr. and Mrs. Edward S.
