She was elected recently at the first meeting of the new board. At this same meeting Mrs. Frank Peyraud was appointed chairman of the program committee, which \\'iii work during the summer to insure a successful season next year. . Helping Mrs. Peyraud are Allen Philbrick of W.,innetka and Mrs. Alonzo Coburn and Mrs. Gordon Wilson, both of Wilmette. Another series Qf lectures by Dudley Crafts Watson will be sponsored oy the .league next fall, after Mr. \Vatson's return .home. He is spending the summer in Europe, collecting inter esting new material.
