This was the first appearance in Glencoe of this group of players, which is considered by manv to be the finest dramatic group on the north side and which is now making a tour of the various north shore suburbs. The play was sponsored by the North Shore Catholic Woman's league. "Little Old New York" was prod.ucecl in Chicago about seven years ago with Genevieve Tobin in the leading role, and scored. a decided hit. The work of the cast and the production Friday night compared very favorably with the original. All the members of the caste were particularly enthusiastic about thP.ir roles and played them with the ease and suavity of long experienced. performers. Too much of a favorable nature cannot he said of Miss Lorraine Bremner, who maintained her Irish accent to the very last and who made a nry charming boy as well as girl. During the intermission, members of the Chicago Concert orchestra under the direction of Curt H. Apel played appropriate selections. Mr. Ape! played se veral xylophone solos.
